2 civilians hacked to death by LTTE at Maligawila

Two civilians were slaughtered while Three others escaped upset when terrorists attacked a group of people who were looking after livestock at Maligawila in Moneragala, Sunday (Jan 18) at around 6.30p.m.
A group of twelve people have gone into the near woods in look for of their stock when terrorist beat in distance attacked. Three civilians had managed to flee, while three others were later found with fatal injuries and admitted to the Moneragala Base Hospital for treatment. According to available information, four people are reported missing at the time of reporting while bodies of two civilians were found during following search operations conducted in the area, security sources said.
The civilians were hacked to death and the bodies bared signs of torture preceding to end, the sources further said. Further search operations are happening in search of the not present and perpetrators, the security sources said.
