Sri Lanka Army Sinha Regiment (SLSR) commemorated War Heroes who sacrificed their life for the Motherland. Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya the Commander of Sri Lanka Army attended the time as the leader Guest.
The Army Commander was welcomed by the Regimental Commander of the Sinha division Major General D.R.A.B. Jayathilake and was accorded a guard produce and a guard of honour by the officers and soldiers of the division
It was followed by a floral compliment to the SLSR Monument in commemoration of SLSR War Heroes. replacement General Jagath Jayasuriya and Mrs. Jayasuriya placed floral wreaths and paid their tribute. Ranaviru Arana housing scheme
The 'Api Wenuwen Api", the ever active programme for war heroes will open the next grand accommodation scheme at Attidiya, Ratmalana shortly to benefit war heroes.
The 'Api Wenuwen Api" was mooted by Defence Secretary, Gotabaya Rajapaksa to help the war heroes and their families.
The system is also designed to boost the confidence of the disabled military who sacrificed their limbs to let go the nation.

President presents Ranajayapura to the War heroes
His Excellency Mahinda Rajapksa, President of Sri Lanka and the Commander in leader of the Armed armed forces today handed over Ranajayapura mega housing scheme to the disagreement heroes. At a rite held at Ipalogma, the President handed in excess of keys of 100 houses to their owners.

The scheme was planned and implemented by the Ministry of Defence under the leadership of Defence desk Gotabaya Rajapaksa. President to open Ranajayapura ; mega housing scheme to war heroes - Ipalogama
His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa , President of Sri Lanka and leader in Chief of the Armed armed forces is to present Ranajayapura , mega housing scheme to the war heroes nowadays (Nov 22). The housing scheme consisting over 1500 houses is the largest still built for the armed forces personnel in Sri Lanka.

Children of war heroes receive scholarships
Children of war heroes were awarded with scholarships by H.E the President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the place of worship Trees today (Nov 16).
The scholarship recipients were children of security forces workers, who had made their supreme give up and those upset during the caring operation.
First Lady Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Defence desk Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Chairperson of the MOD Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa were also there at the occasion.

Desert Cups Cricket Academy donates our war heroes
The Desert Cups Cricket school in Shajah United Arab Emirates (UAE) made a donation showing gratitude on war heroes made sacrifices for defensive the motherland on 10th August 2009.
Coach of the Cricket Academy, Mr Presley Polonnowita, team members and their parents have made their payment for the donation.
The donation including10 Air mattresses and 25 control were handed over to conflict heroes in the presence of the president of Defence Ministry's Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa in a charm function held at the Defence Ministry's hall.

The board of directors and staff of the Gajashakthi Security armed forces (Pvt) Ltd have donated their one day salary for the "Api Wenuwen Api" accommodation finance on 10th August.
Accordingly, sum of 1,337,500.00 rupees donated to the housing fund as to showing their thanks on war heroes made their sacrifices to save the motherland defeating the LTTE, the world's most ruthless terrorist association.
The gift was officially handed over to Secretary Defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa by Chief decision-making official of Gajashakthi Security Services (Pvt) Ltd Brigadier (Retd) Tissa Thilakerathna in a purpose held at the Defence Ministry structure.

Ex-employees of Mobitel make financial donation for "Api Wenuwen Api" fund
Ex-employees of Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel Pvt Ltd, presently working in Abu Dhabi, have complete a donation for the "Api Wenuwen Api" housing fund as showing their thanks on war heroes sacrificed life and limbs for doubtful the motherland.
Six ex-employees of the Mobitel have made their contribution for the gift worth of 125,000.00 rupees and it was officially handed over to Secretary Defence Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa in a purpose held at the Secretary's office this afternoon, 11 August.

Army hunts down LTTE infiltrators - Piramanthalkulam North
Soldiers of Army 57 Division now manning the active defence in the rear areas of the main theatre of the battle attacked a group of LTTE infiltrators detected in the Piramanthalkulam North area this morning (Apr 2).
According to the defence sources, the quarrel occurred about 11.45 AM. Troops throughout the following search found 3 bodies of slain LTTE cadres, 30 disguise uniforms alike to those damaged by the Sri Lankan soldiers, six T-56 rifles, two radio message sets , eight military packs, two claymore mines , C-4 high explosives , one IED, the length of with other military items.

Heavy fighting in north-east of Puthukudiyiruppu; 13 LTTE bodies found

53 Div troops uncover 5 LTTE bodies - Puthukkudiyirippu East
Troops of the 53 Division have inflicted serious compensation to LTTE following serious hostility that erupted in general area East of Puthukkudiyirippu yesterday (March 25), military sources said.
During following search operations conducted, infantrymen of the 5th Gemunu Watch (5 GW) have found 2 LTTE bodies, 1x I-com set, a Tata double cab and 7 x T-56 physical attack riffles, the sources said.
Meanwhile, infantrymen of the 7th Gemunu Watch (7 GW) conducting alike search operations have also recovered 3 LTTE bodies. According to reports, 8 x T-56 physical attack riffles, 1x T-81 assault riffle and a light machine gun were also recovered by 1 Gajaba Regiment (1 GR) troops.

Navy rescues 108 Tamil Civilians fleeing from LTTE Hostage
Sri Lanka Navy rescue 108 Tamil civilians who had been fleeing from the cruel LTTE hostage in Mulaithivu. The Navy rescued them on the 21st March 2009 in the seas of Chundikulum approximately 1210 hrs.
The rescued consisted of 33 adult males, 28 mature females and 47 children. The group had been establish on board 06 white flag-hoisted dinghies while attempting to flee from the LTTE control in the un-cleared areas of Mullaithivu.
Upon rescuing, all were brought aground at the Munai Beach and provided with much-needed food, food and ingest and medical assistance. The rescued spoken their heart-felt thanks to the Navy for coming to their rescue. After the beginning investigations, the rescued civilians were handed over to the public relations member officer of the SLA at Point Pedro.
The mass departure of the innocent Tamil civilians evasion from LTTE clutches is now on the rise. This is largely due to the self-assurance they have placed in the Government Security Forces whose caring operations have helped Tamil civilians to get out themselves from the terrorists' clutches.

Over dozen LTTE terrorists killed, many injured in Mullaittivu fighting
At least 23 terrorists were killed and as many reported upset on Wednesday (March 18) as 58 Division infantrymen ran into identified LTTE confrontation positions situated in universal area Northeast of Puthukkudiyirippu.

According to battlefield information received, troops have uncovered 12 LTTE bodies, similar number of T-56 assault riffles and an I-com set during following look for operations conducted in the area. Meanwhile, 11 more terrorists were reported killed sniped in the area, safety sources said.

Sri Lankan soldiers continue fighting terrorists, rescue more civilians - Puthukkudiyiruppu
Reports conventional from the battlefield so far indicate that the soldiers of Sri Lanka Army 53 Division, 55 Division and 58 Division are ongoing on their noble mission to save civilians by force held by the LTTE in the remaining terrorist beating areas in Puthukkudiyiruppu.
Despite all the restriction that the military have to countenance due to terrorist use of human shield, Sri Lankan soldiers were able to save more that 400 civilians by the this afternoon (Mar 16), point to the reports.
Also, soldiers of Army 53 Division in service in Puthukkudiyiruppu East battled the terrorists from morning to evening inflicting heavy damages to the terrorists. Troops found 7 bodies of LTTE cadres, along with seven T-56 riffles and one radio communication set after the clashes. A sniper deployed in the same separation area of blame, long-established acquisition of one terrorist aim throughout daytime.
Separately, troops of Task Force 2 now busy in active defence and mine payment process in the Puthukkudiyiruppu West area uncovered 900 ammo used for 9mm pistols, 780 dismissal devices of claymore bombs, 42 fuses of mortar bombs during the day's operations.

Another 281 civilians rescued from terror clutches with navy assistance - Mullaittivu
Sri Lanka Navy has facilitated rescuing of 281 civilians held imprisoned by the LTTE terrorists in Mullaittivu.
Navy sources said that, the 6th batch of civilians including patients requiring instant medical notice was transported to Trincomalee by the "MV Greed Ocean" yesterday (Feb 28). The Navy provided the safe passage for the vessel carrying civilians from Mullaittivu and conventional the passengers at Trincomalee harbour.
Navy medical teams provide instant checkup action to the needy patients winning disembarkation and rapid them to the government hospital Trincomalee for additional treatment.
MV Green Ocean has been charted by the government of Sri Lanka in order to save civilians held as human protect by the LTTE terrorists in Mullaittivu. The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) sails the ship under its flag. The Government Hospital of Trincomalee has been adequately staffed and provided with sufficient stocks of drug by the Health Ministry of Sri Lanka in order to meet the compulsion.

More LTTE military items found - west of Putthukkudiruppu
Troops of 621 and 622 Brigades serving under Task Force 2 (TF2) have establish more aggressive items left behind by the fleeing terrorists while conducting search and clear operations yesterday, 24 February, military report conventional from the battlefront said.
01 x RPG round, 500 x T-56 Ammunition, 3 x hand grenades, 1 x tractor were bare by the troops of 7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (7 SLSC) serving in 621 Brigade from worldwide area Panainindankulam last morning.
Meanwhile, troops of 18 Vijayabahu Infantry division (18VIR) conducting payment procedure between next and third defence lines in general area west of Putthukkudiruppu exposed motor series and two generators morning hours. One of the generators is 0.3KW while the other is 0.5KW.

Army Poised to Liberate Last Town Under Terror Clutches
Sri Lanka Army offensive basics are gradually encircling the Puthukkudduyirppu built-up, the last town to be unconventional from terrorist control.
Puthukkudduyirppu comes across down the A-35 road (Paranthan-Mullaittvu), about 35 km from Paranthan. The built-up stretches in an area of approximately 25 square kilometres, out of which about 20 square kilometres situated north of the A-35.
According to the battlefield sources, Army 58 Division basics manoeuvring from the North are in the procedure of dominating Ampalavanpokkani area situated just 2 km from the northern parameters of the Puthukkudduyirppu built-up. Also, the basics of the same separation manoeuvring from the North and the Northwest have located themselves just 3-5 km from the built-up.
Yesterday's (Feb 19) battlefield in order indicate that 58 Division troops have been full of activity in heavy hostility with the terrorists in the north, northwest and west of Puthukkudduyirppu areas. The locations of the combating can be situated on a warped line drawn oppose clockwise from north of Puthukkudduyirppu built-up to the west, up to the A-35.
Troops found three bodies of LTTE cadres, seven T-56 riffles, and three radio communication sets, during follodivision searches.
Meanwhile troops of the Task Force 4, manoeuvring from the Southwest of Puthukkudduyirppu, have established their positions just 2-3 km short of the western parameters of the Puthukkudduyirppu built-up. According to the battlefield reports troops conventional out daylong assaults at the terrorist locations located south of the A-35 yesterday.
The recently formed Task Force 8 solders induct to the battlefield form the South of the Puthukkudduyirppu built-up, too have in progress touching northwards , the reports additional indicate
