Army reconstructs Trincomalee - Mullaittivu road connecting North and South









Sri Lanka Army while full of action in multi-pronged unpleasant operations to liberate whole Wanni area from LTTE's grip, contributed their effort to reconnect North and South with the rebuilding work of Trincomalee - Mullaitttivu road, which runs similar to the eastern coastal strap.
Sri Lanka Army Engineers Service division has commenced the rebuilding of a part of the Trincomalee - Mullaittivu road which had been shattered by the LTTE terrorists recently.
The Trincomalee - Mullaittivu road, which is very utilized by the fishermen in the area, runs across the Nayaru lagoon had been besieged by the LTTE terrorists in two locations when security forces gained manage over the Alampil area on 4th December.
Sri Lanka Army has already over the building of a viaduct while one more is under building and to be finished soon, the defence.lk reporter in Alampil area said.
