Troops of 59 Div further extend their defences; 2 LTTE bodies found

Troops of 59 Division advancing towards LTTE's major stronghold in northeastern coastal border, Mullaittivu, had several confrontation with LTTE terrorists yesterday, 15 December. Troops are further extending own defence line while consolidating newly gained grounds.
Troops of a military configuration under 59 Division have confronted with LTTE terrorists in few occasions in universal area Kumulamunei last day. Two LTTE bodies were found along with few LTTE military substance in a following search operation conducted in the area, military report received from the battlefront said. Two T-56 weapons, 2 T-56 magazines and a radio message set are among the military items found.
Meanwhile, LTTE continued considerable compensation in series of confrontation reported when the troops launched an effective physical attack for increasing their defence line in universal area Kumulamunei around 5.00 pm.
Separately, in a search process conducted in Matiyamadu area, troops have found a T-56 physical attack rifle last morning.
An Army tractor received minor compensation in landmine explosion took place in universal area Kumulamunei last afternoon while troops conventional minor compensation due to LTTE's mortar fire in the same area during morning hours.
