Seva Vanitha Unit donates new house for disabled soldier





The Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) handed over a recently constructed house for a disabled war hero, Lance Corporal G.V.Pushpakumara of Neluayayagama, Kithulkotte, Thanamalwila on Monday (Dec 01).
The house consisted of 3 rooms and a well was built at a price of 900,000 rupees. Sri Lankan Army Engineering Service Division provided the plan and labour for the scheme.
The house was handed in excess of by the president of the MoD Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs.Ioma Rajapaksa. Also, Mrs.Pushpa Rajapaksa, the wife of senior presidential adviser Basil Rajapaksa MP and the members of the Seva Vanitha Unit were present at the time.
