Fighting continues at the Wanni and Northern battlefronts: troops recover 25 AP mines

Clashes between troops and LTTE were reported all through yesterday (Dec 9) at the Jaffna and Wanni battlefronts as troops claimed causing serious damages to LTTE throughout the confrontations. At the Jaffna theatre of battle, fighting was reported in general area Ponnar at Kilaly, while military confirmed delightful two charming sniper targets in the same area at 12.45p.m., and 4.40p.m., in that order.
unconnectedly, troops overwhelmed an LTTE bunker in the clouds after a series of shoot up propelled grenade (RPG) and small arms fire physical physical attack at a terror defence line in Kilaly, safety sources said.

According to military sources, TF 3 troops have better 25 anti-personnel (AP) mines and 2 x 60mm mortars in general area East of Olumadu, throughout search operations conducted.
