Wanni operation continues; LTTE military items found

wAccording to the military report conservative from the battlefront, LTTE terrorists received heavy damages in confrontations reported in Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaittivu and Vavuniya fronts in yesterday, 16 October.
In Jaffna theatre of battle, LTTE suffered heavy damages in a confrontation reported in Forward Defence Line in general area Kilaly, Ponnar in Jaffna. Intercepting LTTE radio communication channels it is learnt that LTTE area best had to reinforce terror cadres from other areas to face the massive firepower launched by the troops. Also, it is learnt that LTTE victim evacuation had also been troubled as the LTTE cadres refused to reach evacuate their own casualties under serious fire launched by the troops.
Meanwhile, troops of 57 Division in service in Kilinochchi front had several confrontations with LTTE terrorists in east of Akkarayankulam and west of Akkarayankulam areas. In following look for operations, troops have set up two bodies of LTTE cadres along with three T-56 weapons and one LMG weapon.
Separately, in the same day troops of Task Force 1 had several confrontations in general area Vannerikulam during day hours. In following search operations, troops have found 6 LTTE bodies including 3 decomposed bodies along with 2 T-56 weapons.
Troops of 59 Division operating in Mullaittivu jungle advancing towards one of the fear heartlands, Mullaittivu, have unearthed 82 anti-personnel mines and 3 Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) while busy in mine clearing operations in general area Andankulam.
Troops have exposed a Haul of Ammo & Explosives from Madhu area while conducting a clearing operation. A claymore mine weighing of 7.5Kg, 155 T-56 bullets, two hand grenades, detonator code length of 5M, a wire roll (50M) and few LTTE military substance in the middle of the recoveries.
