Social Service and Social Wellbeing Minister Douglas Devananda met Korean International Co-operation Agency (KOICA) Country Representative Song Min Hyeon at his Ministry lately.
They focused on the development activities in the Northern Province. The Minister required KOICA help to upgrade the Jaffna Vocational Technical school and Computer Centre.
Song Min Hyeon assured the Minister of extending help for completing construction of the Jaffna Technical College before the finish of this year. The KOICA representative also promised to provide 600 computers to the Jaffna Computer Training Centre and agricultural equipment such as tractors, water pumps and trimmings for mechanising the agricultural field for enhancing output.
