12 LTTE terrorists were killed and 3 injured throughout offensives launched by security forces at identified LTTE bunker positions West of Akkarayankulam, Kilinochchi, yesterday (Oct 13).
Security forces operating in general area Northeast of Akkarayankulama, forced into an LTE bunker defence killing 4 terrorists at approximately 8.35a.m.
Similarly, troops launched an attack at 2 LTTE bunkers located in universal area West of Akkarayankuklama, killing 8 and injuring 3 terrorists at 4.20 p.m., military said citing gourd troops.
2 soldiers were also reported wounded in separate incidents, one owing to an anti-personnel (AP) mine bang and the other due to an IED explosion in the same area.
