India fully behind Lanka in battle against terrorism - Defence Spokesman

India which has its possess experience about the scourge of violence firmly believes that Sri Lanka should completely wipe out LTTE terrorism to establish peace in the country.
Therefore, India will never intervene at this stage to halt the Security Forces' continuing operations next to the LTTE in the North, said Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister and Defence Spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella.
The Minister who is visiting Seoul, Korea on an official engagement language to the Daily News over the telephone said whatever domestic political crises and compulsions India may face, India would never surrender its stand on the necessity to clean out terrorism.
Terrorism was a common problem faced by countries in the area including India, Pakistan and Afghanistan and the necessity to beat terrorism was highlighted at the lately concluded SAARC conference too, Rambukwella said.
The statements complete by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister therefore would not crash on Sri Lanka's war against terrorists.
However UNP attempts to make capital out of the developments in Tamil Nadu and utterances made by the Chief Minister was unfortunate. The interior community too would radicule such UNP plays, Rambukwella added.
