Tiger Terrorist Hideouts Strafed - Kilinochchi

Three LTTE key positions in Kilinochchi district were strafed by fighter craft of Sri Lanka Air Force Wednesday (4) afternoon after intelligence confirmed that some activity was going on.

Two LTTE artillery points, one at Kalmunai Point in Jaffna and the other one at Sorampattu, about 10 km southeast of Muhamale Forward Defence Line (FDL) were shelled at about 1.30 p.m. and 1.35 p.m. respectively.

A couple of minutes after those aerial attacks, Air Force conducted another air sortie on an LTTE Sea Tiger base, about 1 km southeast of Nayaru lagoon in Mullaithivu district.
