Soldier killed, one injured in LTTE claymore bomb attack -Jaffna

A soldier was killed and another wounded when LTTE terrorists triggered off a roadside claymore bomb targeting an Army route patrol in general area Manthikai, Point Pedro in Jaffna, today (June 27) at 8.50p.m.

The injured soldier was rushed to the Palaly military base hospital, military sources reported, adding that the explosion had occurred between Manthikai and Kalikai areas in Point Pedro.

Extensive search operations are underway in the area, security sources said.
