Police curfew imposed in Moratuwa police area

The police curfew has been imposed in Moratuwa police area following a cowardly bomb attack on innocent civilians carried out by the LTTE terrorists this morning, June 06, Moratuwa Police sources said.

The curfew has imposed from 9.00 a.m today, police sources added.

Meanwhile a special police team conducted a search operation in the surrounding area where the explosion occurred. A claymore mine weighing 5 Kg, a Micro pistol along with few war like items have been found, police sources further said.

These items were found from a privately owned land located along the 2nd cross street near the Abesekararamaya in Mount Lavinia.
