Muslims in North will be able to return to their homes soon - President

His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa , leader of Sri Lanka in his Hajji communication said that the Muslims from the North who had been wronged in LTTE ethnic purification would be able to go back to their homes soon. Like the Muslims in the East who are now enjoying lives without fear , the Muslims from the North will also have a rehabilitated life in calm and harmony, he said.

The Hajj symbolizes the strength of agreement when millions of pilgrims speaking different languages and belonging to different nationalities and cultures state publicly the similar mission - divinity, unity and level of God, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said in a Hajj message.
The President said: "I am content to send this communication of greetings on the occasion of the festivity of Eid-ul-Alha, the fair of Hajj by the world Islamic community, including that of Sri Lanka.
This fair which culminates in the Hajj pilgrimage the embodiment of provide up is the greatest annual time of the Islamic world, with nearly four million Muslims from the world over including 5,000 from Sri Lanka, meet at the Holy City of Mecca and implore to Allah and seek pardon for acts of oversight and commission.
