Ten LTTE terrorists were killed due to sporadic clashes reported in Vavuniya front, in Wanni theatre, during day hours today, May 12. According to a report received from the battlefront, the incidents occurred in Periyamadu and Palamoddai areas.
Troops confronted with a group of LTTE terrorists in general area Periyamadu around 7.30 a.m. sources said. Ground troops confirmed that 5 LTTE terrorists were killed in the incident.
Meanwhile, troops have attack two enemy bunkers in general area Palamoddai killing 5 more LTTE terrorists this afternoon, May 12. Incident occurred around 1.20 p.m, sources added. By intercepting LTTE radio communication, it is learnt that terrorists suffered heavy damages in the incident.
