Three LTTE kingpins arrested in London and Wales in a dawn raid

The Police in London and Wales have arrested three kingpins who have been engaged in Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) activities banned under the ,.

The three of who two are brothers were arrested as a result of "their fund raising and procurement of acts of terrorism," the police said.

According to the police sources the three arrested, Jegatheeswaran Muralieetharan (46) , of new Town in Wales, Vithy Tharan (39) of Powys, Wales, and Murugesu Jegatheeswaran (33) of Mitcham , Surrey, of South West London, have been under subject of police investigations for a long time.

Jegatheeswaran Muraleetharan and Murugesu Jegatheeswaran are two brothers who are running an electronics company called Radio matrix involved in the manufacture of circuit boards and other electronic equipment used in communications, audio, video and other digital equipment like remote control equipment.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command were joined by officers from Dyfed Powsy Police in Wales in the raid they conducted at dawn on Tuesday when they raided two properties in London and Wales. Later they were brought to the Paddington Police where they were being questioned.

A.C.Shanthanand Goldan Lambert were initially arrested on June 21 2007 connected to their LTTE activities in London. The case against them is still pending.
