Paranthan LTTE garrison captured: Troops make headway at Wanni battles

Three successive air raids targeting LTTE positions

Sri Lanka Air Force combatant jets raided LTTE positions in Kilinochchi and Mullaittivu fronts this morning, 01 January.

Claymore attack - Ampara

A claymore pit attack was launched on a group of Police Officers of the Veeracholai Police Barrier in the Samanthurai Police Division as they were on tour of duty duty, around 8.20am this morning (01). One Police Constable and a Civil Defence Force workers laid their life in the assault.

Wheel chairs donated for war heroes




Friendship of the Sri Lankan émigré in Indonesia donated 6 wheel chairs to the conflict heroes who had scarified their limbs at the battlefield. The gift was handed over to Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa by president of the friendship Mr. Randy Rekarman and Sri Lanka diplomat to Indonesia Major General Nanda Mallawarachchi last Tuesday twilight (Dec 30).
Also, the Association donated USD 1300, composed from Sri Lankan émigré for Ranaviru Seva welfare finance.
