Police commandoes intercept LTTE group - Batticaloa

Special Task Force (STF) troops intercepted a group of LTTE terrorists while conducting a look for process in general area Unnachchiya in Aiythyamale on Thursday morning, (4 Dec).
According to the Defence sources, STF exposed a body of a LTTE cadre killed throughout the subsequent search process and one police officer distress and later he died.

Troops accelerated their advancing further northwards capturing LTTE dominated areas as the LTTE terrorists not able to hold their land with effective military push given by the troops.
Hours long antagonism ensued in the area inflicting serious compensation to the enemy, defence sources confirmed intercepting LTTE communication channels.
