Donation for war heroes

Silva family, that is Rathnasingha , Chandana Kumara, Kumarasingha, Dhanavathi and Samadara Silva has donated necessary items for war heroes, who are play operational duties in North and East (December 17).
Silva family handed over those substance to Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa ,the president of the Seva Vanitha Unit of Ministry of Defence, held at a attraction time at the Ministry of Defence.
A few other officials of Seva Vanitha component were also there at the time.

MoD SVU donates computers to Commando Regiment

Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence donated computers and printers to the Commando Regiment in a function held at commando regiment centre in Ganemulla recently.

The president of the ministry's Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, official handed over these computers and printers to the representatives of the units engaged in operational duties, the unit engaged in VIP security and the Commando Regiment centre.

Centre commandant of the Commando regiment, Commanding Officers of the units, senior officers of the regiment and soldiers also participated at the occasion.

MOD Seva Vanitha unit donates computers to school children

The Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit donated computers to children of war heroes during a charm function held the Ministry premises on 21st June.

The computers were distributed among school children who were between 8 and 12 grades. The president of the Ministry's Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, officially handed over these items to the children, which was also supported and coordinated by Mr. Ishan Ranawaka.
