Sri Lanka Air Force has approved out three consecutive air raids targeting LTTE defences today, 22 January.
Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, speaking to defence.lk said that MI-24 helicopters raided the earth bund being under building in south of Mullaittivu. The air raids were launched around 10.45 AM and 2.30 PM in support of 59 Division heading towards Mullaittivu.
Meanwhile, LTTE confrontation point experiential in 1 1/2 Km east of Vishwamadukulam also targeted by the MI-24 helicopters around 1.35 PM, spokesperson added. The air raid launched in support of Task Force 3.
