SLAF jets launch continuous air strikes at LTTE positions in Mullaittivu

Sri Lankan Air Force combatant jets launched precision air strikes at multiple LTTE targets situated South of Mullaittivu and South of Chundikulam since 9.30 a.m., this morning(Jan 15).
According to Air Force representative Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, four air strikes were made supporting the advancing security forces, who are now nearby LTTE's remaining main terror bastion at Mullaittivu. 3 air strikes were taken at an LTTE defence line South of Mullaittivu, in support of 59 Division troops at 9.30a.m., 11a.m., and 1.30a.m., respectively.
Meanwhile, Air force sources long-established inflicting serious damages at an LTTE barge in the coast, South of Chundikulam, following an air strike made at approximately 11.45a.m., today. Air raids were also launched at terrorists who were constructing an earth bund in the area, the sources said. According to intercepted LTTE message, terrorists have suffered serious wounded in the air hit, the sources further said.
