Secretary Defence visits Indonesia: Discussions for more stringent counter terrorist activities

Secretary Defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa and a special delegation including Military Liaison Officer Major General (Rtd) W.P.P Fernando and DIG Keerthi Gajanayake made an official call to the Republic of Indonesia lately, from 4th Jan 2009 till 9th Jan 2009. The visit was aimed at further intensification bilateral defence cooperation counting cleverness sharing for coordinating be in resistance to terrorist operations and exchange of training and enlargement programs for military workers.
The Secretary Defence's visit has additional strengthened the teamwork between the two countries, chiefly in the areas of combined behavior for countering local and global terrorist networks and sharing of vital defence linked information.
