A rite was held at the Ministry of Defence community Security Law & Order this morning(Jan 12) to give financial supplies to the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence by the National Lottery Board to build two billboards on the grounds neighboring to Army head place of work.
MOD Seva Vanitha Unit president Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa, Chairperson of the SVU received the exacting cheque from Mr. Chaminda Athurawage, Chairman of the National Lottery Board. The gift will be credited to the Ranaviru welfare agenda undertaken by the MOD SVU.
Addressing the meeting Mr. Chaminda Athurawage stated that, "it is our supreme duty to look following the welfare of the war heroes and the National Lottery Board has intended several projects for the advantage of the war heroes who sacrificed hugely for the territorial honesty of the place of birth".
Further language he affirmed that the money collected by the Jayaviru Lottery are entirely invested for the advantage of the war heroes, so that he requested from the community to add this scheme by buying more and more Jayaviru lotteries in the view.
Thanking the aid made by the National Lottery Board Mrs. Indu Rathnayaka the Vice President of the Seva Vanitha Unit affirmed that they expect the same collaboration of National Lottery Board in the prospect too.
Mr. Lakshman Hulugalle the Director of the Media Centre for National Security, Mr. H.G. Sirisena, Mr. Janaka Sri Warnasinghe the members of the plank of Directors of the National Lottery Board , Mr. M.S. Karunarathna the General Manger and Mr. D.H. Abeysundara the Deputy General Manager were also there at the time.
