Naval troops intercept with LTTE group, an LTTE body found

Naval earth troops have intercepted with group of LTTE terrorists in Periyakarachchi pond in Kuchchiweli Police division Trincomalee last Sunday, 4 January.
The event took place approximately 8.20 PM, military sources said.
In a following search process conducted, troops have establish a body of LTTE fundamental killed throughout the attack. A hand grenade was also establish in this search procedure.
Meanwhile, army troops have conservative minor recompense due to LTTE hand grenade physical attack at Nilaweli in the Uppuweli area around 8.30PM yesterday, 5 January.
