Three older LTTE cadres who fought for the terrorist outfit for more than a decade have surrendered to Sri Lanka military today (Dec 8).
According to the defence sources, the three LTTE cadres between 25-30 years of age have showed themselves up to Army Task Force 1 (TF 1) soldiers in service in the Pooneryn area and laid down their weapons deficient to surrender. Army after main investigations would direct the surrendered to treatment centers, the sources said.
The surrendered have told the Army that thousands more LTTE cadres are to come for an chance to abandon the fundamental outfit, said the sources. They are motionless not very much sure about how the military would take release of them, said the sources citing the surrendered. However, many of them have unspoken that Army’s not their genuine opponent, the surrendered have additional said.
