SLAF combatant jets made consecutive air sorties at recognized terror targets situated in Kilinochchi and Mullaittivu districts since 6.30 this morning (Dec 22).
According to Air Force representative Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, 2 air raids were made at recognized LTTE confrontation positions, North and East of the Iaranamadu battlefront at 6.30a.m., and 8.20a.m., respectively.
The sorties were made in support of the advancing 57 Division troops, the representative said.
An LTTE skill stranded North of the Mullaittivu pond was also long-established shattered in a divide air attack launched at around 7.10a.m., he further said.
