Gajaba UN peace keeping battalion is ready to embark
9th Battalion of UN calm keeping contingent for Haiti, is prepared to embark for UN calm keeping operations on 16th December 2008. The taught battalion obtainable the guard of honour to Major General Jagath Jayasuriya USP psc, Security Force Commander of Wanni on 3rd December 2008 at Sri Lanka light infantry march four-sided figure, Panagoda.
The dependent commander Colonel J.M.U.DammikaJayasingha commanded the march and obtainable the salute to the chief guest Major General Jagath Jayasuriya USP psc.The dependent consisted of 51 officers and 697 soldiers.
