At least 15 terrorists were killed including a senior sea tiger identified as Kadalmaran, and similar numbers reported injured following heavy attacks carried out by troops of the 57 Division targeting LTTE opposed to positions, East of Akkarayankulama, Kilinochchi on Monday (Oct 13).
The fighting erupted since yesterday morning and lasted till 11p.m., Wanni military sources said. Among the dead two were recognized as senior sea tigers including Kadalmaran, who was supposed commanding the reinforcement rudiments of LTTE in the area.
According to military, a soldier has laid his existence and 8 others reported injured during the hours long confrontations.
