LTTE underground fuel storage found - Dharmapuram

Troops of 58 Division while conducting further consolidating operations in Dharmapuram area, Mullaittivu, have found 300 fuel barrels which had been hidden by the LTTE terrorists this morning, 19 January.
According to the obtainable sources, 300 barrels, containing 225 letters of Diesel in each, had been hidden in a coconut grove in the Dharmapuram area. The barrels had been correctly preserved and enclosed from polythin before they were buried. The barrels were hidden in a land almost 10 acres, sources additional.
Further, in order to holdup the advance of the ground troops into the oil storage space complex, LTTE terrorists have located booby-traps and volatile plans around the storage space building.
The subversive fuel storage space found this morning clearly shows that LTTE terrorists have looted the fuel bowsers sent by the administration as caring aid for the thousands of blameless civilians trapped by the terrorists.

SLAF raids LTTE defences - Mullaittivu

Sri Lanka Air Force have launched three consecutive air raids targeting LTTE defences in Mullaittivu throughout the day hours today, 19 January.
Air Force representative, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara language to defence.lk said that combatant jets raided LTTE defences situated south of Mullaitttivu in two divide occasions, 9.30AM and 11.30 AM. Both air sorties were launched in hold up of troops 59 Division.
Meanwhile, combatant jets raided LTTE terrorists busy in earth bund building in general area 2Km northwest of Piramanthan Tank in Mullaittivu. Continues air surveillances conducting long-established that LTTE terrorists constructing another earth bund using heavy earth moving vehicles, air force spokesperson added.
The heavy vehicles busy in the building were destroyed due to the attack, spokesperson further said.

Three successive air raids targeting LTTE positions

Sri Lanka Air Force combatant jets raided LTTE positions in Kilinochchi and Mullaittivu fronts this morning, 01 January.
Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, language to defence.lk said that the first air raid was launched at 8.15AM and engaged at two recognized targets situated Kilinochchi front. LTTE defences located 1.5Km west of Kilinochchi and 1.5Km east of Paranthan were the targets of the task and it was launched in hold up of earth troops Task Force 1.
Meanwhile, SLAF MI-24 helicopters raided LTTE defence experiential 4.5Km northwest of Mullaiyaweli in Mullaittivu front in support of 59 division heading towards Mullaittivu, air force representative said.
unconnectedly, fighter jets bombed at LTTE authority base situated 2.5km east of Kilinochchi approximately 11.20AM. The targeted LTTE command base was totally shattered due to the air raid, air forces spokesperson said.
