Pockets of LTTE concentrations were bare to strong military assaults at Andankulama, at the Mullaittivu battlefront yesterday(Nov 5), as terrorists were required to run away with serious wounded, military sources said.
Security forces are in service in shut perimeters of the LTTE's Mullaittivu forward defences further denying LTTE escape routes, next the outfit's embarrassing debacles at the western and eastern Kilinochchi battlefronts.
The 59 Division troops are taking-in well carrying weapons LTTE ditch lines and bunker expenses as the surge in Mullaittivu continue, defence sources said. The march in Mullaittivu is phased intentionally with the thick hot woods terrain and the special treatment of LTTE laid ground mines and booby traps. This has resulted in smallest amount military wounded and most excellent staffing of the infantry and weaponry division to the front position, the sources additional said.
Counter terrorist operations are ongoing in the area.
